Heat Transfer from a Hybrid Pulsating and Swirling Air Jet Impingement

With decrease in size of electronic equipment’s, effective heat removal is a major challenge these days. Present work focuses on implementation novel hybrid method which helps attain transfer enhancement. An experimental investigation carried out to study effect pulse air jet local distribution flat surface. Effect nozzle plate distance (z/d = 2 6), Reynolds number (5000 9000), pulsating frequency (f 0.07 2.03 hz) and Strouhal (Sr 6.7e-5 0.0029) are studied with constant diameter. Thin foil technique used estimate characteristics using IR thermal infrared imaging technique. Nusselt plotted for all the cases information got from image. It observed that at lower rate low heat, more effective. A improve introduced this Pulse combined swirl This involves introducing swirler specified twist ratio into subjected pulse. Experiments show improves above-mentioned conditions.
